Activity 1: Score Estimator

At halftime, ask your child to predict the final score.
If a team scores 40 points in the first half, they can double it to estimate 80 for the full game.

Before each throw or kick, have your child estimate the distance. Measure together, then compute:

Show player stats (like shots made versus taken). Have your child calculate shooting percentages, then select the lineup that should get the ball most often.

For example:

  • Player A: 4/8 (50%), Player B: 6/12 (50%), Player C: 9/10 (90%)
  • Who should get the next shot?
    Ask them to explain their choice out loud.
Tip: During practice, have them estimate total points or drill times to sharpen mental math.
