All participants must be Indian nationals residing in India studying in classes 3-9 (or its equivalent in registered junior colleges) in the academic year 2023-24

Students will compete in an online test on the Bhanzu Play App

Top students in Round 1 will be shortlisted for this round.

Shortlisted students will participate in a proctored online test over video conference

Bootcamp

Top 500 students in Round 2 will be shortlisted for Round 3.

Students will be required to attend a virtual Bootcamp conducted by Neelakantha Bhanu followed by a proctored online test over video conference. Schedule for the same will be shared over email and Bhanzu Play App

Studio

Top 20 students in the Bootcamp evaluation will be shortlisted for National Finals to be shot in-person in Studio

Participants will be required to travel to a prescribed city for the episode recordings in a studio setup as per the recording schedules

Neelakantha Bhanu, the curator of Math Marvel, has made the country proud by winning India’s first Gold Medal at the Mind Sports Olympiad in 2020. He has won the title of ‘World’s Fastest Human Calculator’, once held by Shakuntala Devi.

Bhanu believes anyone can excel at Math;this passion has led to Bhanzu, a Math edtech startup which is revolutionizing the way students learn Math experientially. Bhanu has come up with Math Marvel in a bid to promote Math as a sport for a better world.

The Math Marvel, organized by Bhanzu, is India’s largest and first Math-centric competition for school-going students. The competition is aimed to test the mathematical capabilities of India’s brilliant young minds and encourage students to view and learn maths as a sport, beyond textbooks. Participants can earn rewards worth upto INR 2 crore and the winner will be crowned India’s first Math Marvel Champion.

Bhanzu is an online math learning platform that aims to revolutionize the way math is taught to kids around the world. Founded by the world’s fastest human calculator, Neelakantha Bhanu Prakash. This competition and all associated activities will be conducted in English language

Indian National students studying in Class III to IX (3-9) as of Academic Calendar 23-24 are eligible to appear for this competition, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

All the rounds, until you reach the final round, are virtual and can be taken from anywhere in India

- You will need a smartphone for participating in Round 1 - For Rounds 2 and 3, you will need a laptop with a video conferencing facility (camera, microphone, headphones) and a pre-installed Zoom App. - You will also require a strong broadband internet connection, good enough to support Zoom calls

All questions in the first round will be Fill in the Blanks type. For the following rounds, the format will be shared with shortlisted candidates after result declaration.

The Math Marvel championship aims to demonstrate the value of math and positively contribute to the participant's mathematical and cognitive skills, which will help them excel in not just STEM careers but in any field of work. Students will also have the opportunity to directly learn from the World’s Fastest Human Calculator and become a national icon. The winner will be crowned India’s first Math Marvel Champion. Candidates will shortlisted on the basis of their accuracy and speed

The final rounds will be shot in a studio in Mumbai and will be streamed on a major OTT App which is yet to be finalized. It will not be shown on any TV channel
